Senator Jay Rockefeller: Assclown
That is the only conclusion to draw from this comment made to the Charleston Gazette, while he was defending his endorsement of Senator Obama;
What an insult to the sacrifices that Senator McCain - and all the men who served in Vietnam - made. For that matter, Senator Rockefeller is certainly showing contempt for all of America's servicemen, including those defending us today.
Rockefeller has apologized, saying he regrets his "poor choice of words" but so what? What he is really sorry for is giving us another glimpse of what the "progessives" in this country really think; that this country's defenders are evil.

Rockefeller believes McCain has become insensitive to many human issues. "McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit.
"What happened when they [the missiles] get to the ground? He doesn't know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues."

You need to check your facts. Rockefeller is not a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Progressives don't like him. Then again, as long as the GOP has Jeff Sessions, about whom even Republicans remark he can barely breathe unassisted, Democrats are OK with Jay Rockefeller no matter how many stupid things he says.
See? It's bipartisan!
